For my readers in Saudi... infact for anyone who cares...

Hello folks...

I have recently found out there is a website called WikiIslam... When you first look at it, you think the site is legit... then you continue to actually look into it, and you see it is nothing but a blattant disregard for Islam, the twisting of verses from the Quran, Hadeeths without proper context, and nothing but a home for HATE of Islam. This is a post a friend of mine and her husband did n facebook, so I would like to share it here... and I would urge you to please request a block of this site. This is not freedom of speech.. it is nothing but Hate Speech against a religion I hold close to my heart. Thank you!

Here is a screenshot of the site!

PS: I Googled 'who are semites'... to get a page to share with a friend that really things Arabs who are SEMITES are Anti-Semites... I think its kinda funny!

Has anyone seen this site?
http://www.wikiislam.net/wiki/Main_Page

Is apparently supposed to be an online resource for information on Islam, but look closer and you will see that it's spreading misinformation about Islam and defaming the Prophet Muhammad (saw). http://www.wikiislam.net/wiki/Qur'an,_Hadith_and_Scholars:Muhammad
I'm recommending that the authorities here in Saudi block this site, and I would recommend people also contact their service providers and do the same.

  1. Wow its sad what people to do spend their time to spread so much hate. These people have to much free time. I mean when I do not like something or care its the LEAST of my worries so its ironic they do care so much.

For those in KSA you can put in to block here

    1. People filled with hate have a LOT of time on their hands! They are on a mission to ruin the name... but what they do not realize is that no one can ruin Allah's name.. or any of his prophets names... they are literally playing with fire!

And how did Saudi not block this yet??
Wikipedia should sue them for using their name for spreading such hate.

    1. I think they should! That would be a great idea! I thought it was legit until I actually looked at it properly... its filled with crap.. literally! I wish we could get the entire side shut down internationally! Wikipedia folks should do it!

  4. I agree that Wikipedia may have a case against them for using part of their name.

However, it IS free speech. Should it be taken down because you or most other Muslims don't agree with it? Maybe that is how it goes in Saudi, but not in other parts of the world, like the USA.

    Just my 2 cents.

    1. No worries.. I appreciate your 2 cents.. but I always wonder where it is drawn.. I still can't get around laws like the Holocaust denial act.. where someone does not have freedom of speech and can be thrown in jail for 1-3 years in some countries for the mere act os voicing ones belief that it was not as history stated... yet people are allowed to bash, defame, slander an entire religion... I still don't get it... I think morally there should always be some sort of line drawn. Let us face it, even in the US, no one can just say anything they please and get away with it anymore, if that was the case, a lot of law suits would have been thrown out. There really is nothing even remotely close to freedom of speech anywhere in our wonderful little world.

  5. The point is,blocking this site in saudi would do no difference…it should be taken down cause most who see it are mainly none muslim..and thats world wide.
its sad, saudi have hackers who can hack and take down alot of crap stuff on the internet but they never seem to notice what should be taken care of.

    1. They are rather busy playing games... and hacking accounts of civilians... lil asaf :(

I really do wonder if the folks over at wiki can have it put down legally? I personally found out about this site from non Muslims here in Saudi who use it against Islam... so it could stop those folks from trying to spread lies... even though yes I totally get there are people not within the Mid-East borders who are having fun with all this... and blocking it here in Saudi or in the Mid East would not stop them from using it to spread their agenda.

  7. Dentographer, why should it be taken down "world-wide", and who decides what sites can up or down? This is free speech.

No one has really addressed why things that are free speech should come down if someone disagrees with it. There are sites that state another view on every religion. Should the adherents of that religion be allowed to take it down because it disagrees with them? Then we would not have much of an internet. Would you like sites written by Muslims who disagree with Christianity taken down because Christians don't agree with it? Where does it end?

If there should not be sites that disagree with Muslims, then why should there be sites that agree with Muslims? It sounds like a double standard.

Countries can block certain sites for people in that country, but there is no one who polices the internet, nor should they. They cannot speak for everyone.

Is anyone going to address this? I really feel there is a double standard in your feelings. If you don't think so, then tell me why you think there isn't.

    My 5 cents this time.

    1. I personally do not agree with the bashing of a religion. Making lies u about it, or spreading hate. There is in my eyes the difference between a religious difference, and a religious attack. I personally have friends of different religions and faiths, I respect the differing views. I have atheist friends who do not believe in a God or religion, but they do not go on an attack against religion, I still don't get the point in bashing something one does not believe in. I don't go around spreading things about the boogeyman, because to me he is not real. I personally find the folks over at wikiIslam have loads of time on their hands, to devote so much effort in trying so hard to discredit a religion many hold close to their hearts.

To answer your question, I know there are many who have double standards on this issue, same way they have double standards on anything they believe in. Politics/religion/ any issue with differing views for that matter. I am against all out lies on any religion, but since Islam is the religion I follow, I chose to be more verbal about it. Not sure if you would call that a double standard or not.

Once again I thank you for your time, and I enjoyed your Nickel :)

  8. Have you emailed the site telling the you want to refute things on their site? If you block it, it will still be there. That doesn't solve anything.

  9. Why not pick a WikIslam topic and debate it honestly? That Islam is responsible for much of the worlds violence should be be a source of concern for any intelligent human being, so a decent open and critical debate should be in order. Of course your prophet does not allow you that privelige (it might cause you to question your faith!
